Maintenance Engineer

Days Role - 4 on / 4 off

Elland, Halifax

Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias required for a fast moving food manufacturing company in Elland, Halifax. Repair and maintenance of machinery within a food environment

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer are:

• Filling of daily shift report and PPM system (Shire)
• Steam boiler checks
• Compressor checks
• Water filter checks
• Effluent plant checks
• Project work
• Continuous improvement
• Metal detector competent
• Print programming (linx & ice printers)
• Food hygiene trained
• Equipment maintenance

Ideal experience:

• Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing operations (preferably food related)
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
• Proven track record in cost control, health & safety, management of quality systems and change management programmes
• Ability to interact with high profile customers
• Minimum ONC in Engineering or Electrical Qualification
• Experience of pneumatics, electrical, computer literate, mechanical skills, faulting finding and problem solving
