Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias required for a business based on the outskirts of Leeds. Specialising in the manufacture of bottles they supply a leading blue chip company in the local area. The client encourages an environment where their engineers work as part of a close-knit team and can demonstrate a pro-active, hands-on approach.

The Maintenance Engineer will report into the Engineering Manager working a continental shift pattern (7-7).

Responsibilities include:

• Day to day maintenance of all plant equipment on site
• A mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance 
• Maintaining PPM schedules, work procedures and involvement in continuous improvement activities
• Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults and diagnosing breakdown problems

Background and Experience:

• Maintenance Engineer - Electrically biased with strong Mechanical skills or Mechanical biased with electrical skills (qualifications)
• Good logical thought process in regards to fault diagnosis and rectification
• Experience of Blow Moulding and Packaging machines would be advantageous but not essential

Technical Skills:  

• Knowledge of Siemens PLC’s and Inverter drives would be advantageous.
• NVQ or equivalent qualification 
• 17th/18th edition would be advantageous.
• Proficient with PC based systems (Excel, SAP) to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs. Although training will be given
• Good understanding of Health & Safety

Maintenance Engineer, Leeds, elec biased for a 4 on 4 off 2 days and 2 nights (07:00 – 19:00 & 19:00-07:00)

Salary = £34,700 rising to £36k once probation is passed.
