Castle Engineering is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer, to work with an established business who has a great reputation within the food manufacturing sector. As Refrigeration Engineer you will be required to install and service relevant equipment on a scheduled and ‘on call’ basis at the site in Skelmersdale.
You will be responsible for:
- Fault find, service, install and maintain all types of industrial refrigeration systems.
- Required to respond to reactive call outs and carry out repairs
- To cover standby rota and be prepared to work overtime as a team
- To carry out works to a high standard, enjoy problem-solving and fault finding
- Able to work alone and as part of a team
- Understanding of safe working practices
- Provide site remedial and maintenance reports
To be successful in the role of Refrigeration Engineer you will need:
- Ideally, have at least 2 years installation and service experience
- To have at least 2 years’ experience of carrying out on-site repairs and maintenance to a high standard
- Must have good customer service skills and communicate well with other team players to provide efficiency and continuity within the service department
- City & Guilds, or equivalent, qualification in Refrigeration systems (ideally)
- Apprenticeship trained within the industry an advantage
- FGas J11 qualified
- CSCS/PASMA/IPAF card holder an advantage
- Must hold full UK driving licence
