The Opportunity
Our client, a leading Australian gold producer, is seeking to appoint an experienced, forward-thinking Open Pit Technical Services Superintendent to their Kalgoorlie-based operations. This key operational role is being offered on a permanent basis, with a 5:2 residential roster.
The successful applicant will be either presently living in, or be prepared to relocate to, the vibrant and family-friendly Kalgoorlie region of Western Australia. Please note, this role is not being offered on a FIFO basis.
The Role
In your new role, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the technical services team, with view to ensuring operational excellence in all areas of the open pit mine. You will be required to reside in the Kalgoorlie region or be willing to relocate to be considered for this role.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Monitoring of quality standards
- Project evaluation and development
- Business plan compliance
- Data collection, reporting and approvals
- Budget preparation
- Identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities
- Training and mentoring your team
- Long-term planning
- Other duties, including filling in for the QM, as required
The Requirements
- Mining Engineering degree or above
- Proven experience in Australian open pit mining operations
- Mining software experience
- Current WA “HR” Drivers Licence
- Applied First Aid Certificate
