Rehab Recycling provides a range of country-wide recycling services, including Glass, Paper and Electrical Recycling. Rehab Recycle Cork, is one of Irelands premier recycling plants – providing systems for handling and recycling paper, cardboard and cans in line with the Department of Environment Waste Management requirements. Applications are invited for the following position:
Post: General Operative / Forklift Driver (WSS)
(Fulltime – 39 hours per week)
Location: Rehab Recycle, Cork
The successful candidate to this position will report to the Operations Manager, Rehab Recycle, Cork and will assist in a variety of plant production processes, ensuring that a high level of health and safety practices are followed.
Applicants should have the ability to use their own initiative, be a good team player and work effectively as part of the Rehab Enterprises Team in Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an existing team in shaping the future development of a successful and multi-faceted commercial enterprise.
A forklift licence is required for this post.

Job Title: General Operative / Forklift Driver
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of the role will be to assist in a variety of plant production processes, ensuring a high level of safe work practices along with health & safety practices are followed.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
? To follow the company rules and regulations at all times
? Work effectively as part of the team
? Drive the company Forklift vehicles in a safe and courteous manner in accordance with safe practice
? Ensure Forklift vehicles are checked daily and checklist is completed.
? Attend and contribute to management and monthly staff meetings
? To ensure protective clothing is worn in order to comply with the Health & Safety practices of the plant.
? Adhere to safe working practices and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a healthy, safe working environment
? Ensure daily production targets are met on time.
? Liaise with Supervisor in making constant improvement to line efficiency and end product quality.
? Ensure quality standards and practices are adhered to
? Be able to perform a variety of operations in assisting with the production of products associated to the line for which he/she is responsible
? Participate in staff training and development activities to improve present and future performance
? Adhere to the Code of Good Employment Practice and the Rehab Enterprises ethos
? Any other duties related to the above, which may be required form time to time.
