Elevating Entrepreneurs is UBS' flagship program that provides mentorship, access to capital and educational opportunities for high-growth small businesses looking to take their companies to the next level. Following successful pilots in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, the effort is being expanded to engage a larger population of employees, clients and small businesses nationally. As such, the firm is looking to develop new programming and partnerships to support their goals around elevating entrepreneurship as a whole.

Summary of Role
The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the existing small business mentorship program, while also supporting other related initiatives for the broader entrepreneurship platform. Ideal candidate will be an experienced program manager and strategic thinker who has led high-impact, high-profile philanthropic programs and events for leading corporations, preferably within financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the day-to-day management of small business mentoring program
  • Coordinating recruitment, selection and training process for all participants - UBS employees, clients and small businesses
  • Planning and executing program events
  • Conducting regular check-in’s with mentoring teams and serving as the program liaison
  • Support the development and day-to-day execution of expanded programming, including new online mentoring platform
  • Assist in the coordination of new initiatives under larger platform of Elevating
  • Entrepreneurship
    Develop, track and report program metrics
  • Produce program collateral, maintain program websites, and aid in the sourcing of media opportunities
  • Serve as internal and external program liaison, providing high-touch customer service to all constituents
Basic Qualifications:
 
  • 5-10 years or more of experience managing large-scale, high-profile philanthropic programs, preferably within financial services
  • Knowledge of high-impact education and entrepreneurship programs;
  • General understanding of brokerage business
  • Bachelor degree in business, communications, or public policy, or equivalent professional work experience with demonstrated success
  • Flexible work schedule – job often requires long hours and qualified candidates must be willing to arrive early and depart late
  • Must be willing to travel (10-15%)

  • Strong history managing and leading flagship philanthropic programs at a premier global institution
  • Experience developing and executing employee engagement efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute high-impact events
  • Relationship and partnership management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals of all professional levels and diverse experience
  • Data-driven and results oriented, demonstrated commitment to high quality work
  • Autonomous self- starter capable of juggling multiple assignments and projects under short deadlines
  • Collaborative and comfortable with change, a true problem solver and builder
  • Strong communicator and writer
    Comfortable liaising with c-suite executives and senior leaders
