Aspire People are an established education agency that work very closely with primary/ secondary schools and colleges.
We are getting to a busy time of the year where schools are looking for an extra pair of hands in the office and for September vacancies.
Aspire People are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to work in the Penkridge area.
This contract is for a temporary post. It is essential you have experience using the Finance systems CORRERO, SAP, SAGE, ORCALE and FMS6.
You will be working under the guidance of the Head teacher and Business Manager to be responsible for the provision of an effective financial support service for the school and to assist with the planning and development of the support service.
All applicants will be required to hold a valid DBS certificate or willing to pay for a new application at the cost of £52.

Some of the duties that will be required are as follows:
• Assist the Head teacher to prepare the school annual expenditure budget in accordance with BFBC guidelines and give financial advice.
• Manage the schools financial administration and for all relevant financial and accounting procedures, in accordance with the scheme of delegation and financial standing orders.
• Monitor budgets on a monthly basis, complete appropriate and other staffing matters and keep the head teacher informed.
• Monitor the financial effects of staff appointments and other staffing matters and keep the head teacher informed.
• Monitor all expenditure, orders raised, cheques printed, payments made, oversee receipt of goods, processing of journal entries and undertake end of the year school budget procedures.
• Utilise the computerised financial management system to present and interpret data and make recommendations as required.
• Manage the proper collection, reconciliation and banking of monies, including school private funds.
• Maintain all financial records and accounts (including financial achieves )
• Process orders and services ensuring best value.
• Oversee school insurance polices and make relevant claims.
• Supervise other staff as appropriate
• Actively support the school and Borough Equal Opportunities policies
• Undertake any other similar duties that may be allocated from time to time.
