The techno-economic modelling specialist will need to have a strong background in power and/or water systems economics and in the use of linear optimisation techniques for the development of expansion planning recommendations.  As renewable energy penetration increases EWEC will need to evolve its capability to model system stability requirements at a more granular level than the currently available tools and models allow. The senior techno-economic modelling specialist will be expected to play a leading role in the development of this capability. A deep theoretical understanding of the Plexos modelling platform (or similar) will be required along with excellent power system knowledge from a cost and economics perspective combined with a deeply analytical capability.
