Assistant Buyer (SJ/16/10) North Yorkshire, England
Castle Food & Beverage are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire for an Assistant Buyer.
This role will be to ensure that the supply of raw materials and packaging arrive on time and in specifications. Alongside this you will be responsible for the receipt of weekly stock reports, and ensure production has its daily requirements.
As the Assistant Buyer you will also challenge suppliers on invoice errors, raise PO’s and take ownership of procurement or raw materials, packaging and ingredients. You will liaise with the planning team and react to any issues on a daily basis.
You will also attend NPD meeting to discuss future launches and attend Operations & Planning meetings.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role ideally in a food manufacturing environment.
