Purchasing Manager (VC4083) Malton, England
Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are looking for a Purchasing Manager for an established Manufacturing business in the Malton area. Working closely with the management team you will be in a very busy environment responsible for all purchasing duties, with a focus on ensuring material is received on time and issued to kits to optimise production flow.
The key responsibilities for the position are:
- Validating supplier invoices against negotiated terms
- Implementing procurement strategy and policies
- Identifying alternative supply sources
- Building and developing relationships with key suppliers
- Preparing purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders
- Tracking purchasing activity and supplier performance measurements
The client is looking for the following skills/experience:
- Strong experience within Purchasing, preferable within Manufacturing/Engineering
- Have a background of utilising MRP systems (preferably SAP)
- CIPS (or equivalent) qualification would be highly advantageous
THE BENEFITS:
- The salary for the role is £30,000-£35,000, depending on experience
- The role is based in Malton, so easily commutable form Scarborough, York, Leeds, Driffield and Beverley
