Contracts Manager

Contracts Manager (RL5231) Scarborough, England

Castle are looking for a Contracts Manager to join an exciting, revolutionary project based in the Scarborough area. The Contracts Manager will manage and coordinate suppliers to meet the Company's goals in regards to quality, schedule and cost by applying specialist commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, draft, negotiate and implement major contracts
  • Formulate, develop and implement contract administration strategies with the objective of meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality service, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance
  • Manage commercial relationships and ways of working with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and / or services
  • Ensure that commercial arrangements are closely and effectively managed, including the maintenance of the necessary electronic and hard files
  • Manage a team of quantity surveyors
  • Monitor and control compliance in respect to the Project’s contractual obligations
  • Assist area project managers with their supplier relationships

Skills/Experience required:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, managing client side contract resources and activities for multi-discipline engineering, procurement and construction packages
  • Proficiency with the suites of FIDIC and NEC form of contracts
  • Experience with all forms of remuneration models (lump sum, bill of quantities and target cost)
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work closely and collaboratively within the team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Regular travel to project sites in North Yorkshire will be required, therefore a clean UK driving licence is essential.
