Despatch/Transport Manager (VC3741) Scarborough, England
Castle are recruiting for a Despatch/Transport Manager for a prestigious, well established business in the Scarborough area. The main function of the role is to effectively lead the Transport team, aswell as meeting customers needs.
The Role:
- Manage the performance of the Transport department
- Ensure vehicles are being used in line with vehicle legislation
- Oversee the delivery of products in a timely and effective manner
- Plan transport routes and allocate drivers
- Ensure drivers are following driving legislation
- Be responsible for Health & Safety being followed within the department
The Candidate:
The client is looking for the following skills/experience:
- Previous background within a similar role
- Experience of managing both stock and transport
- Detailed knowledge of current transport regulations
- A CPC licence would be highly advantageous, but not essential
The Benefits:
- Salary of up to £23,000, depending on experience
- The role is based in Scarborough, so is easily accessible from Malton, York, Leeds, Driffield, Hull and Beverley
