Health, Safety & Environmental Officer (VC3950) Leeds, England
Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are recruiting a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer for a prestigious, well respected manufacturing business in the Leeds area. The client has modern, purpose built factory and offers excellent development opportunities. The Health, Safety & Environmental Officer will have the following responsibilities:
- Continuously develop and manage the HS&E website in a format suitable for use by all employees.
- Represent the business in dealings with regulators, insurers and external certification bodies.
- Plan, develop and contribute to Risk Assessment Programmes
- Advise on legal compliance, liability and procedural issues.
- Carry out H&S Inductions.
- Deliver in-house training (where appropriate)
- Advise on other HS&E training needs, as required.
- Ensure all statutory inspections; checks and servicing are completed in a timely manner.
- Schedule and attend SHE Meetings
- Ensure all accidents/near misses are fully investigated.
- Plan and execute emergency evacuation practice events.
- Support the Facilities Manager in managing all on-site contractors prior to commencement of work on-site and throughout the contract duration.
The client is looking for the following skills/experience:
- Demonstrable background of working in a similar role
- NEBOSH/IOSH Qualification would be highly advantageous
