The Position:

Castle are looking for a Materials Controller/Stores Person for an established Engineering business based in the Scarborough area. The role is initially for around 3 months, but there is an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will be mainly hands on, but there is an element of ordering and purchasing also. The duties for the Materials Controller/Stores Person will include:

• Responsibility for all goods inward and transport arrangements for both despatch and return
• Conduct inspections of manufactured parts
• Purchasing of various parts and components used in the manufacturing process
• Ordering of all PPE equipment

Requirements:

The client is looking for the following skills/experience:

• Previous background in a similar role within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
• Be computer literate, ideally with experience of using stock controls systems such as Sage
• A valid Forklift Licence or previous Forklift experience would be advantageous, but not essential as training could be provided

The Benefits:

• This is initially a temporary position for at least 3 months, with the potential of a permanent role for the right candidate
• The role is 39 hours per week, Monday-Friday
• The hourly rate for the position is up to £9 per hour, dependent on experience
