Castle IT, Sales & Procurement are working with an exciting business who are looking for an IT Technician to join their IT team and offer insight and support in the creation and implementation of their internal IT systems.

In the role of IT Technician, you will be reporting into the HR Manager and will manage and oversee multiple technical areas including assets, installation, hardware, training and overall support.

As IT Technician, you will have the following the duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring daily system backups are scheduled, completed and documented as required
• Be comfortable working in secondary locations including the need to travel where required
• Monitoring server systems for the business
• Maintaining and supporting all Help Desk/Service Desk
• Providing customer hardware/software support to the business
• Administering all company-issued technologies, including mobile phones (purchasing, configuration and maintenance, as well as reporting on usage and costs) and ordering of all IT software
• Researching new technologies for potential use
• Analyse and determine preventative maintenance requirements for all IT equipment
• Inform management of recurring problems
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates

To be successful in the position you will need to display the following:

• Relevant qualification ICT NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Ideally have an ITIL certification
• 3 years’ experience of working in IT
• Experience with Windows 10/Server 2016/Aruba/HP Switches/Multiple Firewall Systems
• A ‘can do’ attitude with a drive to succeed and take things forward
