Warehouse Manager (VC4460) Scarborough, England
Castle are looking for a Warehouse Manager for one of the most reputable and desired manufacturing businesses in the Scarborough area. My client is looking for a proven Warehouse Manager, with a background of working within a fast paced, demanding production environment. The role will involve managing the logistical operation for the site, in regards to all aspects of Goods Inwards, Warehousing and supplying the parts needed for production.
The Role
The main responsibilities for this position are:
- Project-manage, implement and sustain both tactical and strategic improvements in the receiving, storing, kitting and distributing processes
- To establish and implement effective and appropriate materials supply strategies, policies and procedures (to include analysis and management of pick lists and stock quantities)
- To understand the ERP requirements, and implement and utilise the appropriate functionality within ERP/MRP systems
- To establish and manage stock level targets
- To develop efficient systems of the supply of parts to be utilised in the production process.
- Develop and deliver relevant training material to all Team Members
- To define and improve workplace housekeeping standards & to maintain Health & Safety requirements
The Candidate:
The client is looking for the successful candidate to have the following skills, knowledge & experience:
- Demonstrable record of achievement in a similar role. Typically this will require experience in a Manufacturing Management or Logistics Management Role in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- A positive influencer and negotiator across all levels of the business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- To be autonomous and work under own initiative
- Proven supervisory skills
- MRP/ERP Experience essential
