You will join the Spot Electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) trading desk, which is responsible for pricing and risk managing the Autobahn FX (ABFX) and RAPID trading platforms. The team develops innovative quantitative pricing and risk management algorithms, to meet client’s liquidity requirements while generating sustainable commercial results. They are very client centric and work every day with Sales to meet clients’ needs, partnering with Technology to enhance the system and reduce operational risk.

Your responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the Spot eFX Trading Team, partnering with Sales and meeting clients to gain a detailed understanding of the client needs, execution strategies and liquidity requirements and how the team can be a relevant liquidity provider to them commercially
  • Managing existing and developing innovative sustainable and commercial liquidity offerings, while monitoring and optimising performance
  • Managing the risk and operating the ABFX, Reflex and RAPID trading platforms in real-time
  • Performing quantitative data analysis, model building and subsequent optimisation of pricing and risk management for the client franchise
  • Working with Technology to further develop the capabilities of the platform

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of quantitative analysis, trading or research including subjects such as pricing and risk management for liquid financial markets.
  • Strong computing and programming (coding) skills and experience, utilising programming languages such as KDB and Python
  • A good understanding of cross-asset cash and derivative products, across markets and the skills to solve complex business problems
  • Relevant education such as a Bachelor of Science (BSc)/Master of Science (MSc)/Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) or the equivalent work experience or qualifications.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and functions, in addition to excellent presentational skills
  • Able to articulate ideas confidently and concisely
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Self motivated, proactive and able to use your own initiative
