Working for an established organisation the ideal candidate will be required to provided 1st line support for internal users across the business. You will communicate effectively with key business departments to ensure the smooth operation of their IT Systems and monitor, be responsible for troubleshooting issues when they first arise. Responsibility will include; ensuring all calls are logged into the help desk system. Managing the timely resolution of open calls. Proactively managing problem calls through to completion in a timely basis. Assist with access control configuration to 2000+ users across the partnership. Provide support for in excess of 50+ Corporate systems. Update the inventory of computer assets & software licences and perform daily operational tasks such as server checks, system backups and data transfer routines. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills ideally within a IT help desk environment. You will be self-motivated, highly organised, be able to work well under pressure and at a high work rate. You will also have the ability to use initiative and diagnose some users' problems without referral. A good level of technical skills, troubleshooting basic PC issues with hardware, software & networking. Good inter-personal skills: diplomatic and able to inspire user confidence. Obtained or studying towards an IT support qualification and/or a NVQ Level 2 or above in IT. Due to the nature of business, successful applications will be required to undergo UK Security Clearance.
