Store & Logistics Team Leader

Store & Logistics Team Leader (RL6964) Malton, England

Castle Employment are looking for a Stores  &  Logistics Team Leader to work in their store's logistics department based on the outskirts of Scarborough. The Stores & Logistics Team Leader will be responsible for organising resources to ensure that all stores are managed effectively & that goods for delivery are prepared, loaded & dispatched with necessary paperwork & documentation. This is a full-time permanent role. 

The responsibilities of the Stores & Logistics Team Leader will include;

  • Organise & Maintain stores inventory & maintain stock levels
  • Receive supplier deliveries & Quality checking of goods inwards
  • Liaise with the Production Manager & Planning Team
  • Arrange transport with external transport providers
  • Supervise & coordinate the work of shop floor employees
  • Deal with any disciplinary or performance issues

The successful candidate will have

  • Knowledge of working practices in a similar fabrication environment
  • Previous track record in a similar role
  • Ability to show leadership, plan work & set targets
  • Trade/operational qualifications  or training
  • IOSH managing safety would be beneficial

 

The Benefits:

  • Hourly pay rate £13.58 plus overtime & shift premium paid
  • it’s a 37.5 hour week, currently shift pattern is 7 am – 3 pm Mon – Fri.  
  • Career progression to work towards Production  Operations  Manager
