Stores / Workshop Assistant
Castle Employment are looking for a Stores/Workshop Assistant to work for a well-established and well-respected manufacturing businesses based on the outskirts of Malton. Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for the upkeep of the workshop, ensuring adequate stock level and for supporting the Maintenance Manager in planning for scheduled maintenance on the factory floor.
The role would suit someone that enjoys fixing things and is “hands on”
Responsibilities:
- Frequent stock checks
- Negotiating with suppliers
- Ordering stock
- Planning maintenance schedules ensuring availability of the stock
- Organising stock within the workshop
- Basic refurbishment of machinery and parts in the workshop
- Providing general assistance to the Engineering team and Manager
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills & working knowledge of Excel
- A natural aptitude for machinery/engines etc

- Salary £18k
- Full Time hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30 plus overtime
