Assistant Materials Controller/Administrator (BK3635) Scarborough, England
Castle Business Support are looking for an Assistant Materials Controller/Administrator for a company based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. This is a temporary position for 6 months to assist with the materials planning team
The role will include ensuring all materials / parts for each vehicle are ordered and supplied on time. To provide administrative cover for the materials team.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Place Purchase Orders for all parts for each vehicle or contract based upon area of responsibility and suppliers lead time
- Assist plan, prioritise and control supplier deliveries to meet production requirements
- Issue supplier schedules on a weekly basis to key suppliers
- Goods receipt materials in-line with purchase orders as/when required
- Work with Purchasing to develop the Supply Chain
- Liaise with other Depts as necessary
- Attend Daily Shortage Meetings as required
- Prioritise & expedite urgent parts as necessary
- Raise purchase orders for site purchase requisitions and monthly consumables
THE CANDIDATE:
- Materials expediting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to plan and prioritise work
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Good telephone manner
- Computer literacy and administration skills
- Good product knowledge

- Hours 37 hours per week, Mon –Thurs 7.30am – 4.15pm, Fri 7.30am – 11.30am
