Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor (RL5252) Malton, England

Castle Employment are looking for an experienced  Warehouse Supervisor to join an expanding retail business based in Helmsley, North Yorkshire. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for running an efficient warehouse by co-coordinating incoming goods, ensuring stock is stored, customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched, as well as supervising a small team of dedicated dispatch assistants. This is a "hands on" role.

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor ;

  • Day to day supervision of two dispatch assistants.

  • Picking and packing orders with great attention to detail to ensure high levels of accuracy.

  • Putting away deliveries, resolving any discrepancies and keeping stock organised.

  • Preparing of goods for retail including labelling and allocating into the designated areas within the stock room.

  • Reporting and rectifying any stock discrepancies.

  • Assisting with unloading and unpacking of deliveries.

  • QC inspection of delivered merchandise.

  • Stock taking.

  • Monitoring of packaging materials and other warehouse consumables and ensuring correct stock levels are maintained.

  • Working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Site Security - responsibility for ensuring the area/building is secure when not in use.

The successful candidate  will have:

  • Experience of working in a warehouse with a minimum of 2 years’ in a supervisory capacity
  • Stock Control experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to input and retrieve data
  • A team player with ability to use own initiative and follow instructions
