Hotel Receptionist

Hotel Receptionist (VC3914) Whitby, England

 

Castle Business Support are recruiting for a Hotel Receptionist to join a well-established, luxury hotel situated between Scarborough and Whitby. The role requires someone who is a confident, team player and who has excellent customer services skills.  

Duties to include:

  • Taking incoming calls via the main switchboard and other extensions, directing to the correct department as necessary.
  • Dealing with enquiries by phone or in person at the reception desk, email and fax.
  • Taking and inputting reservations into the Hotel Reservation system.
  • Cash handling and balancing of all monies taken in cash, cheque or by credit card and reconciling the daily movement of bookings and income taken.
  • Typing menus, letters, forms or any work given by management team, including table plans for Weddings and functions if required.
  • Producing reports for all departments from the Hotel Reservation System and communicating any changes to bookings to relevant Heads of Departments.
  • Undertaking any work delegated by the Sales Manager,

Requirements:

  • Strong customer services skills
  • Confident, team player
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Previous hospitality experience would be beneficial
  • Due to location own transport is essential

Hours:

Working shift pattern from 7.30am to 3.30pm  or 3.15 to 11.00, 5 days over 7 including weekends and bank holidays according to Hotel Business.
