Agricultural Data Scientist
Castle Employment Group are currently looking for an Agricultural Data Scientist to work in North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Agronomy team within the wider Sales & Marketing Team. Based at the head office in Scarborough your day to day duties will include:
- Analysing data from field trials in respect of yield and quality, health and environmental impacts.
- Analyse archival data
- Support the generation of research reports and output in support of sales and marketing requirements
- Support the agronomy team with inputs for conference and scientific presentational material.
- Internal data mining and further analytics
- External data mining from fertiliser trial outputs
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need the following experience:
- Ideally PhD or equivalent qualification in related subject field
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient in mathematics
- Experience in statistical databases
- Ability to work in a small and multi-functioning team
- This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys mathematics & using statistical programs
- Experience within the Biostatistician field, not necessarily in the agricultural sector
