Buyer (RL9683) Scarborough, England
Castle Employment are looking for a Buyer to join an established Manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Reporting in to the Purchasing Manager, this is initially a fixed term contract for 6 months to cover maternity
Key Responsibilities:
- Placing of purchase orders in line with MRP and system requirements
- Ensure supplier delivery dates are adhered and suppliers are challenged
- Liaise with other departments including engineering
- Build relationships and work with key stakeholders within the business on supplier matters
- Liaise with the planning team where applicable
- Work to KPIs in the purchasing department ensuring deadlines are met
Castle Sales, IT and Procurement are therefore looking for anyone with the relevant skills and/or experience below:
- Experience of purchasing components in manufacturing
- Knowledge and understanding of Modern MRP purchasing systems
- Good IT skills in particular Excel
The Package:
- Salary: £30k
- Based Scarborough outskirts
- Free on site parking
- Hours 8.30-5 Mon to Thurs and 8.30-3 on Fridays
