IT Systems Administrator
Castle Employment are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to work for a well-established and well respected manufacturing businesses based on the outskirts of Scarborough, on the East Yorkshire Coast.
This is a great opportunity to progress your IT career in a varied & dynamic role & you should have excellent core IT skills and be able to effectively handle daily user PC queries through to implementing IT structure improvements
Responsibilities:
- IT system support for multiple site group and remote workers
- Hardware and Software support of file servers, mail servers, PC's, printers, firewalls, and telephone network.
- Ability to identify, recommend and implement Infrastructure improvements
- Managing domain joined users.
- Supporting key operational tools including accounting, email, stock control, asset tracking, CRM, databases and ERP systems
- Monitoring and generating regular system usage and performance reports per SLAs.
- Diagnosing and solving HW and SW systems.
- Maintaining a 1st line IT support call system (additional help for 1st line support is available).
- Setting up new PC's and employees.
- Supporting website, cloud and externally accessible portals, including providing and implementing cyber security recommendations.
- System backups and restorations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in suitable technology subject.
- Proven experience in providing IT Support.
- Experience of VMware and vSphere would be beneficial
- Good communication & organisational skills
- Excellent Microsoft PC & Server knowledge
