THE POSITION: Service Desk Manager

Castle Sales, IT & Procurement are looking for an experienced  Service Desk Manager to join their team based on the outskirts of Scarborough.  This is an exciting opportunity to head up the internal Service Desk Function.  The role will be a key part of the business & you would be responsible  for developing, leading & motivating a team of Service Desk professionals to deliver excellent technical support for national clients & would suit someone with a relevant experience & proven people management skills

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular contact with  customers, direct reports & vendors
  • Heading up the the internal service Desk function
  • Develop, lead & motivate staff
  • Responsible for ensuring support for existing information
  • Providing technical advise to project teams
  • Providing support to the Infrastructure Team

The successful candidate will have

  • Ideally educated to degree standard in a relevant subject
  • Previous relevant work experience
  • Proven management skills
  • Experience of managing suppliers in outsourcing
  • Extensive hands on technical knowledge
  • Experience of hardware, software & network connection troubleshooting
