CRG Defence are seeking a professional Practice Nurse (Band 6) in the Gloucestershire area.   This is a full time role and the successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours each week Monday - Friday.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering Primary Health Care services and elements of occupational health to military personnel.
  2. Responsible to the Senior Doctor or Lead Nurse and provide routine clinics to meet the need of the patient group.
  3. If acting as the Lead Nurse, be responsible for the line management and clinical supervision of other Practice Nurses where appropriate and ensure untrained personnel within the treatment area work within their scope of practice.

What you will need:

  1. Have the right to work in the UK.
  2. Valid NMC registration
  3. Must have a minimum of one year’s satisfactory previous experience at Band 6 in a Primary Health Care setting within the last 3 years and a minimum of 2 years post registration experience in Primary Health Care
  4. Must hold an accredited certificate of training obtained in the last 3 years of:
    • Immunisation and vaccination (including children if a families practice) b.
    • Venepuncture
    • Audiology
    • Ear Care (including irrigation)
    • Smoking cessation
    • Minor Injuries and Illnesses
    • Travel health.
  5. Experience gained within the last 3 years in Health Screening, clinical supervision, management of Long Term Conditions (diabetes, asthma, coronary heart disease etc.)
