Role Highlight: Ownership of month end and all corporate reporting for the property division. Supporting the finance leaders and build prosperity through intelligence and insights.
Role Overview
This Financial Accountant will report directly to senior management and be a part of a large and high performing team. This experienced Financial Accountant will possess strong experience with managing and delivering month end, reporting, balance sheet compliance and some management reporting. Experience with leasing and property accounting is needed to be successful in this role. You may also be required to assist with driving systems and process improvement around the month end process and systems. Your strong attention to detail will ensure that monthly results and deep dives into variance analysis will create valuable insight to assist senior management with achieving business goals.

Responsibilities
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations of corporate entities
- Monthly P&L reconciliations
- Preparation of Financial and Trust Accounts for Australian property trusts & operating companies.
- Consolidation of Australian entities
- Quarterly equity accounting of investments
- Monthly cashflow
- Assisting in yearend audit
- Preparation of tax calculations for external sign off
- Preparation of corporate BAS and FBT return
- Analysis of Australian P&L against budget
- Preparation of group management reporting
- Analysis of Australian P&L against budget
- Preparation of group management report
- Assisting in Australian budget and re-forecasts
Candidate Profile
You will be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, you will have great communication, high levels of integrity and challenge in a positive way.
You will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of finance policies, procedures, accounting standards with a focus on leasing and property
- Advanced Microsoft Excel competency and experience.
- Experience with SAP is a must have, SAP BW is desirable or a similar cube based reporting tool
- Tm1 experience is also highly regarded.
- Resilience and high levels of time management.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong capability in creating and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work both in a team environment as well as autonomously.
