MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MSMT) Newton Aycliffe, England

Salary: GBP25000 - GBP45000 per annum

RMS – Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technicican on behalf of our client based in Newton Aycliffe

This is a long term position, this is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive company who are at the forefront of the manufacturing industry.

As part of the Maintenance team, you will ensure that all plant equipment and machinery on site is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and they are kept in safe and good working order.

To work alongside Operations Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and the Production Operators with the aim of increasing productivity and quality whilst reducing costs.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

 

Install, modify and maintain all machinery and equipment across the site.

 

 

    1. Operate a preventative maintenance system to ensure all machinery/equipment is in good working order.
  • Fault find and repair any Electrical or Mechanical related problems on machinery/equipment and provide breakdown cover for all activities on site further to specialised in house training.
  • Demonstrate effective technical skills to provide high level day to day support for all manufacturing operations.

 

    1. Drive continuous improvement activities across on-site equipment and facilities.
    2. Liaise with Vendors as and when required.
  • Advise on specification of new manufacturing equipment ensuring feasibility of servicing and maintenance.

 

  1. Ensure all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.

Qualifications

  1. Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Engineering Field.

 

  1. Multi skilled
  2. IEE 17th Edition Certificate.

Previous Experience

  1. At least 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment in a Maintenance role.

 

  1. Experience on Electrical machine control fault finding and PLC fault finding experience.

 

  1. Demonstrable ‘hands on approach’ to supporting an operation through fault finding, diagnosis, repair & analysis.

 

  1. Experience of working within IATF/ TS16949 environment.

 

  1. Robotics and automation experience

 

  1. Cleanroom experience of high vacuum tools
