ASSEMBLY OPERATIVE (ASSEMBLY) Castleford, England

RMS – Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting for a large number of Assembly Operatives on behalf of our client based in Castleford.
All positions are to start in January 2019 and you must be available to attend a recruitment day prior to your start. Day to be advised after application. Induction day to follow nearer the start date.
This is a long term/permanent position, and is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive company who are at the forefront of the manufacturing industry.
There are three different grades of operatives. This depend upon experience and work duties given. The salary is between £8 - £12 per hour PAYE.
This is a temp to perm position after a 12 week probation period

Inspection
Other duties for all grades include the following;
- Hand skills – use of both hand and power tools including, screw guns, hammers, bench saw etc…
- Basic understanding of drawings, being able to read drawings is not a necessity but would be an advantage.
- Lean and Jit principles (understanding).
- Experience of working in a production / manufacturing environment, mixed fast moving consumable goods and Light gauge steel.
- Ensuring quality checks are undertaken with a right first time attitude.
- Stacking and packing of finished goods.
- Inventory control.
- Adhere to all H&S rules and regulations.
- Manual handling maybe required.
- Working to deadlines.
- Working in a target driven environment
