UK SAP Information Systems Manager required for UK defence contractor

Role Purpose: To Manage all UK SAP related Information System requirements. To provide day to day guidance to the CSC operational applications teams. To capacity plan and deliver SAP projects / phases of work from specification through development and implementation into production. Provide SAP knowledge and expertise to the operational environment. Develop the UK SAP Roadmap in conjunction with the IS Group SAP strategy

Accountabilities

•Required to manage the activities of a group of staff providing overall support to the business in the Support and Development of the UK SAP System.
•Manage the generation of SAP related business cases and budgets on behalf of IS.
•Develop comprehensive plans for the delivery of packages of work considering all aspects of resource availability/constraints, risks, contingency and business priorities.
•Accountable for the management of the SAP IS Projects into the business community.

•Raises & resolves requests for change of project budgets, scope &/or timescales.
•Reports project progress to sponsor’s and Business community.
•Manage the SAP Control Board and produce and deliver reporting on progress and status of project, evolution and support activities.
•Represent IS as required at other internal or external forums.
•In relation with the Head of the SAP Centre of Competence, coordinate the development and implementation of the UK SAP Strategy.
•Provide focal point in UK IS organisation for SAP business related issues between UK IT, the UK business Control Boards and the International IS Team.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key individuals within the business areas to ensure that customer expectation and IS deliverables are aligned.
•Where appropriate, lead international projects.
•Manage complex project, evolution and support technical issues
•Manage differing objectives of stakeholders on a project to achieve common project goals
•Management of issues within a project that have an affect on quality, time and budget
•Manage a Virtual Team of 1-10 people, outsourced service provider personnel,(both Project and Support based)
