We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our clinic in Gympie.
Gympie is about 2.5 hours (160km) drive north of Brisbane and 1.5 hours drive south of Hervey Bay. The Gympie region has a population of about 50,292 (2016 census data). The township itself has an estimated population of close to 25,000. Gympie is very well serviced by a general hospital which is less than five minutes drive from the clinic. The hospital has an outpatient’s clinic for visiting specialist and it also offe5rs allied health, community health and several other services. There is also a private hospital and three nursing homes, two local pathology services, three radiology and nuclear medicine services. There are several public and private schools in Gympie and surrounding areas, plus five childcare centres.
The practice is an accredited general practice which opened its doors on 14th August 2011. Since that time over 6800 patients have attended the clinic. The practice is bulk billing, drawing its patients from town and more so from the surrounding region. Significant proportion of active patients are those with chronic diseases. The practice is fully computerised using Medical Director (MD3), patient management software and PracSoft (PS3) billing package. We currently have three GPs, two registered nurses, a practice manager and five receptionists. We also have a dietician and a diabetic educator who attends once a month.
