Graduate Trainee IT Support Engineer, Security Systems in CCTV

North Manchester – Middleton. Commutable via Bury, Rochdale and Bolton

£20,000 - £23,000 (Depending on Experience) + Benefits  

Leading security solutions house requires new graduate trainee to join an existing team commissioning and supporting the companies range of CCTV surveillance equipment and software. 

The Role: 

Preparing software and equipment for dispatch - installing apps, service packs and drivers, configuring bios, profiling and installs including some testing, system checks and documentation work. 

Assisting with Commissioning - working on-site and remotely to trouble-shoot network issues and connectivity problems 

Providing Telephone Support - Taking fault reports, call logging, fault identification, providing info, configuration changes etc. 

Returned and Repairs work - on work stations and servers, replacing components etc. 

Setting up Demos for customers 

Required Skills and Experience: 

Good standard of education including some IT essential - IT graduates or graduate calibre IN Networking, IT of other similar subjects with strong IT focus 

Good written and verbal standard of English including Maths and English to GCSE level at minimum  

Knowledge or experience of as much as possible of the following will all help (though this is a trainee role, so they may train on some things): 

Windows OS support 

Any SQL Server Knowledge 

TCP/IP networking 

Firewalls 

RAS and VPN 

Any CCTV tech knowledge

Storage 

Video Streaming technology inc MPEG.4 

Knowledge of PC components including Hard Drives, Memory, Graphics Cards etc 

Clean UK driving license required. Must have own transport and be able to get to Middleton within half an hour.
