Areas of Responsibilities

  • Advising on all legal matters related to execution of the project and operation of the business in Thailand
  • Supporting the project execution team and procurement in conclusion and implementing the supply contract and further subcontracts;
  • Being responsible for the observance of all contractual requirements and for contractual changes and amendments, as well as for the Claim Management;
  • Timely defining a Claim Strategy and implementing a professional Claim Management Processes in the project aimed in particular to mitigating risks or minimizing liability claims;
  • Supporting the Project Manager in identification and clarification of risks, opportunities, claims and changes and the execution of corresponding actions
  • Preparing claim letters and all formal correspondence with external partners, such as customers or sub-suppliers (Outgoing claims), as well as advising on claim letters directed to our company from said external partners by way of defensive Claim Management (Incoming claims)
  • Generating opportunities such as change orders and additional businesses, in specific preparing and negotiating variation orders to customer contract
  • Providing input for contractual & associated quantum matters of customer contract to the project team
  • Collecting records and evidences as well as preparing litigation strategy in the event of disputes with external partners
  • Supporting the responsible Procurement Team in all major contractual issues; these include in particular passing on essential contractual risks to the sub-suppliers appropriately (“back-to-back”, e.g. by using the flow-down matrix)
  • Attending all essential project management meetings, particularly if contractual or legal questions are subject of the meeting

 Requirements:

  • Degree in law or completed legal courses related to Thai contract law
  • Passion to develop in contract management and project execution fields
  • At least 2-5 years relevant working experience on contract & claim management preferably in the infrastructural projects
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken Thai and English
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a good team player
  • Experience from multinational companies or foreign studies would be an advantage
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Contract Manager
