We are looking for an Application Architect in NYC or Sleepy Hollow, NY.

Responsible for applying application architecture, design best practices and standards to effectively guide application construction, deployment, ongoing performance and continued evolution of the application portfolio.

Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in computer related area).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in an architecture role.
Minimum 10+ years of experience with IT Technologies deployment in platforms such as Java,.Net, HTML/XML, databases and Sharepoint.
Experience in Web Services, Middleware, Content Management Systems and Social Applications.
Extensive experience in multiple environments: mainframe, Linux/Unix and Windows. Extensive knowledge of multiple technology implementation domains, i.e., networking, security, servers and databases. Experience with implementation of cloud solutions and integration.
Working knowledge and experience with UNIX and Windows OS.
This person will provide detailed analysis of solutions and prepare technical design documentation. Experience with Architecture design tools such Visio and or/Rational Software Architect.
Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, RUP, and others.
Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and supporting tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong project management skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Willingness to proactively research technologies that offer new capabilities.
Ability to work well with team members, acting as a mentor and assist in motivating and solving problems. Familiarity with mobile application application development.
