Essential Functions & Typical Duties

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses Servo’s, mechanical, and electronic components, parts, equipment and systems including testing, modifications, replacements and repairs.
• Completes documentation such as shop and work order records and submits required reports.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics, procedures and technical manuals.
• Utilize company database to locate parts and manuals.
• Applies principles and basic theories of elementary physics, mathematics and testing.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to encourage cooperation with customers, co-workers and managers.
• Must be reliable, have good attendance, follow company policies and procedures and produce quality work as our products are flight critical. Effects of errors could result in longer down-time of equipment, increased warranty costs, or endangerment of aircraft and personnel aboard.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, & Experience

• Aptitude for fine, detailed mechanical / electrical work, high level of accuracy.
• Good problem solving skills and ability to manage more than one project at a time.
• Good communication skills; written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Must be goal oriented and able to complete repairs within company standards.
• Minimum two year aviation instrument / Servo repair degree or an equivalent education, training and experience.
• Experience in the assembly, maintenance and/or repair of various types of avionic equipment, utilizing hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
• Must be proficient with PCB soldering.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass FAA/DOT drug screen and background check.

Work Conditions

Work Hours typically Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:45 pm, with occasional overtime including infrequent weekend work duties for special customer needs or projects.

Constant hand manipulation of small components and assemblies, sitting.

Frequent reaching, lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs.

Occasional typing, lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.

Rare kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Frequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment, occasional use of computer.

Typically work in repair lab with occasional exposure to dust, noise and rarely fumes.

Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting.
