Key Responsibilities
- Prepare The Ground
- Set up forms and pour concrete for various purposes including walkways, walls, pillars and other structures
Other tasks may also include:
- Rebar or wire mesh installation, use of trowels, hand tools and other non-complex small power tools
- Fine finishes concrete by floating, trowelling, edging and brushing in accordance with specifications
- Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Punctual and reliable
- Minimum of 1 year in the construction industry with flexibility for further training
- Must have a good understanding of installation methods, techniques, machinery, tools and labour needed to accomplish work
- Ability to carry out physical tasks
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Highly motivated, self- driven and detail oriented
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Communicates well with other crew members, and the supervisor
- Ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift items weighing in excess of 5 kilograms
- Willingness to learn new construction skills on site
- Ensure that all work is completed within allotted time constraints, under the direction of the supervisor
