Responsibilities:
• Efficiently perform and document patient testing, counsel patients and their families regarding diagnostic results
• Provide effective guidance regarding hearing aid options and follow up care accommodating patient needs and resources
• Fit and dispense hearing aids and assist with adjustments and questions as needed
• Establish and maintain professional contacts within the community
• Carry out special assignments as requested. This may include participating in public relations programs, outreach programs and marketing programs
• Participate in continuing education events and other training programs to enhance knowledge and ability to perform job responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have an Au.D.
• Must have current state licensure for Audiology and Dispensing or must be eligible for licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years dispensing experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem solving skills.
• Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
• Ability to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
• Ability to deal with numerous interruptions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to interact professionally at all time with patients, physicians, and team members.
• Experience interacting with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
