Physical Requirements:
• Be able to bend, twist and stand for long periods of time
• Be able to transfer 90 lb. rolls of film from cart to machine, using established procedures.
Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Set up, load, operate, tear-down, clean, troubleshoot, and make minor adjustments to packaging equipment. Ensure that all slots are filled to assure maximum line efficiency.
• Set up and change film, package lot code, package date, and product code. Check and document that materials are correct and printing is correct and legible.
• Perform and document metal detector operation and package integrity as directed.
• Handle leaker packages in a sanitary manner.
• Rotate to other positions as directed.
• Supply lines with packaging materials and put away them away at end of shift.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times.
• Work together in a team environment;
• Observe all department safety and quality specifications;
• Track and maintain all required records;
• Any other assigned responsibilities by management;
• Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System. Report any issues to appropriate facility management.
