High volume clinic is in need of an experienced medical assistant that has strong back office knowledge and a great patient care focus. The right candidate will be performing patient care procedures with oversight from the on duty RN, LPN and/or Physician. Strong clinical knowledge and high achievement coursework.
Medical Assisting in this role will include the following:
•Prepares exam rooms.
•Prepares patients and paperwork for physician.
•Measures and records height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and history of present illness.
•Records and documents patient records according to clinic standards.
•Assists with diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by physician.
•Specimen collection, EKG's, equipment upkeep and sanitation according to OSHA guidelines.
•Scheduling of patients and reviewing printed materials with patient/family regarding medications, diet, collection of test samples, etc...
•Calls in prescriptions as directed by physician.
•Triage's incoming calls and communications.
•Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code of Conduct
•Reports compliance problems appropriately.
