Retail Operations Manager (A347E7DDDC) New Brunswick, New Jersey

SUMMARY

Provide region with recommendations to improve dealerships that are performing below National and Regional averages against retail sales and wholesale objectives along with KPI and KSI scores.  Implement with the dealer principal to enhance their performance.  Monitor performance of these dealers for improvement and develop/implement replacement plans, if needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

Analyze, prepare and implement improvement program for the 20 highest impact under performing and DII dealers regarding their retail and wholesale objectives and KSI, KPI scores.
Develop, implement and support Business Management programs to improve dealership profitability.  Monitor and report on dealer financial statement submission.  Develop trend reports to track dealer financial performance.  Maintain and utilize EXAM system for all users in the region.  Develop and implement business management training for staff managers, DSMs and DPSMs.
Assist with Dealer prospecting as required.
Coordinate and assist with implementing annual dealer BOP program within the region.  Ensure program is implemented within prescribed timeline.  Assist regional management with objective setting analysis.  Collect data from field and dealers upon completion of annual plans.  Provide summary reports to management on an ongoing basis as to dealer and region performance versus plan.
Interface with regional management and field staff in development of improvement programs and tracking of dealership performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
MBA preferred

Overall Related Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of wholesale automotive experience, including 7 years field sales management experience. 
7 years of field experience should include 2 years as a District Sales Manager and 5 years in a Regional Staff Management position within Business Management.

Directly Related Experience:
Demonstrated experience in reviewing dealer performance and preparation of dealer solution proposals. 
Ability to assist dealership personnel and troubleshoot their concerns.
