Finance Assistant (RL7605) York, England

Castle Accounts and Finance division in York are looking for a Finance Assistant to work for a client in the centre of York. This will be a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity.
Main Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate weekly invoice payment and preparation
- Monthly supplier statements reconciliation
- Maintain and process incoming invoices daily including scanning, matching, attaching invoices, coding and data inputting onto the system
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders and suppliers
- Coordinate with HR to assist with setting up and administering staff movement records on the system
- Maintain spreadsheet records for bank and expenses payments
- Calculate permanent staff monthly overtime hours for submission to HR for payroll purposes
- Entering and updating the charging tables and rates for special projects, set up and maintain team codes and grades, as provided by the systems accountant
- Assisting in running credit reports and checks for the proposal team and project managers
Requirements
- Have at least one to two years’ experience working in purchase ledger
- Be able to process high volumes of transactions with accuracy and confidence
- Have excellent Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Have fast, yet accurate typing and data input skills
This will be a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, earning a salary of £16,000 - £18,000 depending on experience.
