We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer to be based with our Global Client at one of their top leading Medical Device facilities. This role requires somebody that brings the following for immediate consideration:
Minimum of four plus years experience working as a Buyer/Puchasing Specialist at a Manufacturing plant.
MUST have solid experience working with suppliers directly and negotiating contracts.
Have proven experience managing an annual spend volume in the millions
Demonstrate job stability and progression in addition to being highly promotable

Sr. Buyer will be performing all duties relative to the production purchasing associated with 3rd party suppliers, raw material needed for production , and MRO items as defined and distributed by Purchasing Manager.
Selects and negotiates with vendors, as well as evaluating and mitigating cost increases proposed by vendors.
Assists staff members with complex procurements, vendor contracts, bargaining for best costs, and observance of strict quality requirements of purchased material.
Plays lead role in New Product development support including communicating material requirements to vendors, defining sources of supply, as well as purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and intricate or critical components.
Works with planning team to review and modify system's order policies, lot sizes, lead-times, primary vendor, vendor quotes, etc. to achieve divisional objectives while comprehending how the changes impact other aspects of the different systems and departments.
Works with planning team to ensure appropriate materials are on hand and on order to support production capacity, minimizing production overtime and downtime to achieve divisional goals.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and minimum five years related experience and/or training.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet, email, as well as statistical software.
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Systems, Regulatory requirements, validation principles in Medical Device regulated environment.
Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the manufacture and distribution of goods.
Effective communication skills including an ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents; an ability to write reports and business correspondence; an ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; and an ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and /or boards of directors.
This role is NOT and order taker role. It requires solid purchasing experience to include working with suppliers directly and negotiating contracts.
