This Associate position in Life Product Compliance has been established to ensure continued compliance to SEC mandated reporting to our inforce variable life product clients, to ensure life product continued compliance with the NY State Department of Financial Services's (NYSDFS's)annual Market Conduct Profile and to ensure timely and accurate analysis and response to all regulator and/or examiner requests for life product data and information. Key responsibilities are: Assure compliance with SEC mandated reporting requirements for variable life products - Represent Life Product Department's interest on inter-departmental project team (OGC, CCD, Annuity)responsible for all SEC mandated variable product books (prospectuses, supplements, reports). - Edit, review and prepare final materials to be sent to inforce variable life product clients to comply with SEC requirements. - Oversee production & mailing process for variable product books, containing costs while meeting SEC deadlines. - Determine and allocate printing and postage expenses to NYLIM for the Mainstay Funds portion of the variable product books. - Manage warehouse inventory and website content of variable product materials. Assure compliance with Regulator requests for life product data and other information - Edit, review and prepare life product data and information to assure compliance with NYSDFS requirement that company submit an annual company profile for their use in determining future examination focus. - Handle all regulator data call requests for life product information. - Respond to all regulator inquiries regarding life products.
• Bachelors Degree • 2-5 years life insurance industries experience • Must have an understanding of life insurance products with particular emphasis on compliance perspective • Strong organization and time management skills; must meet SEC and other regulatory deadlines • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet those deadlines • Good interpersonal skills; must work on intra-company projects and foster team commitment to tasks • Good communication skills; must work closely with NYLIM as well as vendors and non-proprietary fund companies • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Access)
• Knowledge of SEC • Experience in production, printing and mailing of compliance material to inforce policyowners
