Corporate VP, Insurance Strategic Marketer Researcher (7760BR) New York, New York

Corporate VP Strategic Marketing role will report directly into the VP of Strategic Marketing within the Insurance Organization. This position opportunity will be a Marketing Generalist to fill a key leadership position within an ongoing effort to improve data analytics and business planning within the Insurance Group.

Primary Essential Accountabilities:

• Creates business plans to expand sales of Agency products to specific market cohorts (e.g., small businesses, millennials)
• Leverages data analytics to identify unique insights about NYL customers and the broader market
• Translates insights into actionable business activity with specific goals
• Creates key metrics to measure success
• Creates pilots and control groups to isolate the impact of the activity
• Builds dashboards to communicate the ongoing results broadly
• Tracks new programs against targets and evaluates results
• Proposes new activity and program changes based upon results
• Works broadly with Agency, Product Teams and Marketing to build support for program changes based upon the data and insights
• Thinks innovatively to improve collaboration and decision-making across functions and departments
• Requires frequent oral and written communications with Company employees and with people outside Company (e.g., equipment/software vendors).
• Requires strong analytical skills

Essential Requirements and Experience:


Functional Knowledge
• Five plus years of relevant experience in Product or Marketing within Insurance /Finance Industry preferred
• Bachelors degree required

Technical Expertise

• Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in Marketing or Product Strategy to build actionable business plans
• Basic understanding of the Insurance Organization businesses and the products sold within Insurance Industry

Problem Solving

• Analytical/ Strategic thinkers with a good understanding of the consumer financial service market.
• Ability to think outside the box - to find innovative and creative solutions to complex business problems

Leadership
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader leadership team
• Collaborative Team Player who has demonstrated ability to work well across organizations
• Strong organization skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills
