At Barclays we are building our infrastructure teams who are accountable for delivering and supporting resilient secure infrastructure technology to customers, clients and colleagues.

 

While at Barclays you will be responsible for understanding the current software environment while being responsible for evangelising the services offerings both internally and externally.

 

The roles covered are Data Centre Operations, Disaster Recovery, Email & Groupware, Installations & Movers, Storage Management and Network & Telecommunications administration.

 

Your Role

  • To be highly visible; engaging with engineers, developers and business users.
  • To establish community practice and champion social media channels to good effect.
  • To take ownership of the overall service roadmap.
  • Understands the user experience.
  • Drives service improvements.
  • Responsible for the governance, risk & control of the service.
  • Ability to understand and simplify business requirements.

 

Essential Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of analytic techniques and methods.
  • Good knowledge of change & release management processes, methods and tools.
  • Demonstrate a wide knowledge of IT service infrastructure and its effective exploitation.
  • Evidence of working in Large scale systems with complex infrastructure
  • Deliver results which add value to the stakeholders through strategic decision-making and improvement plans cost, process or technology.
  • Is able to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets.
