Castle Education are currently working with a popular secondary school based in Filey, North Yorkshire to appoint a permanent member of staff to join their DT department to teach Resistant Materials across the full range and ability at KS3 and KS4 and to be able to maximise the potential of all students of all abilities. In addition to this you should have the ability to deliver other aspects of the Design and Technology Curriculum, namely Food Tech. The position is to start for the new academic year in September.
The successful applicant will have a desire to raise the profile of Resistant Materials within the school and will actively encourage wider participation across the school for extra curriculum activities. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic and an innovative DT specialist, who is passionate about their subject and who has a good knowledge of the national curriculum. Ideally, the school would like to appoint a teacher who shares their commitment to the highest standards of academic achievement for every student and who is willing to go the extra mile to help them achieve excellence.
