DT Teacher - Resistant Materials Teacher needed - Immediate start - Scarborough
Castle Education are currently working with a local school based on the outskirts of Scarborough, to recruit a DT teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials, for a 3x day a week long term post to cover a Maternity absence. The suitable candidate will be able to deliver resistant materials to KS4 and will be passionate about delivering the DT curriculum to all abilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to differentiate and plan and deliver appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum. Whilst SEN experience is not essential, it would be beneficial to have an understanding of working with children with special education and/or behaviour needs.
The role requires some excellent subject knowledge and vocational experience including;
- A Relevant Degree in your specialised subject
- Relevant Professional qualifications, including a relevant teaching qualification including QTS, although NQT's are also welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Current DBS on the update service, or willing to gain one through Castle Education
- Demonstrable experience teaching resistant materials to KS4.
