HR MANAGER

HR MANAGER (VC5238) Maidstone, England

Our client is a well established business part of a large global group. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced HR Manager, ideally from a large manufacturing and / or distribution background.

The successful candidate will report to the site MD, with a dotted line to the UK HR Director, and will manage a small team.  Working closely with the site management team, you will be responsible for providing HR advice, support and guidance to line managers and employees on a full range of generalist HR issues ranging from disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management, recruitment and retention, and restructuring.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support business strategy at both a site and group level, update policies and procedures; support and promote the implementation of existing strategies, policies and procedures.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist and HR team leader, with experience of working in a busy, fast-paced production environment reporting into an operational leader.  You will have a strong understanding of ER and up to date knowledge of employment law.  You will also be able to demonstrate first-class communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage the operational and commercial needs of the business without compromising the people focus of the HR plan.
